Calling all students! We are hosting an OU wide competition for this festive season. If you are into your baking and are planning to get stuck in this Christmas, then this is the competition for you.
Introducing: The Open University Festive Bake Off!
Simply take a picture of your wonderfully made baked goods with a label of the hashtag #OUFestiveBakeOff in the photo, and either send it to the community mailbox at oustudents-community@open.ac.uk or post it in the comments of the Bake Off post our Facebook page.
Don’t forget to mention which nation you’re from, as this competion is being ran by The Students Association’s Area Reps for England (Leanne White), Wales (Hanna Silk), and Continental Europe (Kate Wells)!
The competition launches on the 6th December 2021 and closes at midnight on the 28th December 2021.
If you enter, you’ll have the chance to win some limited edition OU branded goodies (keep your eyes peeled for an announcement on that…)
Announcements for the regional winners and runners up of England, Wales, Ireland, Scotland and the rest of the World will be shared on 13th January.
For those who are struggling to think of anything festive they could bake, or are complete novices at baking, here are some easy and fun recipes to try out:
Try them out as many times as you want until you’re happy to take a picture and submit your entry.
So get creative, get baking and may your (competitive) baking streak shine!
Good luck everyone!
Please see full terms and conditions before entering.
As of the 17th December, you can now see what prizes are available too!
