Have you heard of the Disabled Veterans’ Scholarships Fund?

Open University Students Association, 2019

Ron Turner is a member of the Disabled Students Group. In this video he explains about another support opportunity that is available to disabled students who are veterans: the Disabled Veterans' Scholarships Fund.

The Open University is the leading UK University in helping those with disabilities access education. The Disabled Veterans' Scholarships Fund offers 50 disabled veterans who have been injured in, or due to military service, access to free Open University education.

The OU was the first university to run such a scheme for disabled veterans. The Scholarships Fund was founded in 2017.

Lots of OU students who are veterans keep in touch with one another, whether they are benefitting from the Fund or not. To find out more about this worthwhile scheme, visit the Disabled Veterans' Scholarships Fund website.
