(This guide is intended to be a bit of fun, always take care when doing yoga. Don’t push yourself too far – we don’t want you getting tied up in knots! Combine these poses with your usual practice or try out one or two before tackling all of them).

1 Downward-facing Camel 🐪
(Downward-facing Dog)
Hands and feet on the floor, push your hips up and back and stretch your feet down to try and get your heels onto the floor.

2 Christmas Tree
(Tree pose)
Stand on your right foot. Try and put your left foot onto the inside of your right thigh or calf. Put your hands together into a prayer position and try to raise them overhead. Hold for a few breaths and then swap to repeat on the other side.

3 Fire Log pose
Cross one leg over the other whilst seated. Try to stack your knees one on top of the other. Breathe deeply.

4 Angel pose
(Hands to heart centre)
Try this pose seated with crossed legs or standing.

5 Christmas warrior
(Warrior pose)
Start with both feet facing forward, then angle your back foot out slightly. Stretch your arms out to the front and back and bend your front knee, keeping it in line with your front toes. Breathe deeply and then swap to the other side.

6 Ho-Ho-Ho breathing
Finish your stretches by sitting cross-legged. Sit up tall and place your hands on your tummy. Feel it rise and fall with each breath in and out. Try to clear your mind and focus on your breath. Sit here for 10 to 15 minutes for full relaxation!
