Awakening in a box,
I pour from a box to eat,
And hop into a box to wash,
Driving in a box on wheels,
I arrive at a box to work,
And stare at a box, while I ponder…
Perhaps it would be better to be a fox?
Paws padding on crunchy ovals,
Nose sniffing bark cylinders,
Or a bird?
Perching on high prisms,
Picking at succulent spheres?
For nature needs no unboxing,
Meanwhile we, boxed from cot to coffin,
Must break out and wrap ourselves in her wild.
