8 months after the space science club first launched it is no more, but don't worry it hasn't vanished it has transformed into the Open University Space Society. So what does that mean to our members (over 370? Well, first the name better describes our interests, we aren't (and never were) just interested in space science. We are interested in everything space, law, science, politics, engineering, human factors, history, business and economics to name a few. The new structure will allow us to become even more ambitious in our plans as the world moves out of covid moving from being totally online to delivering face to face events and supporting our members in entering national and international student space competitions. Though we will keep up with our very popular online talks and membership remains free to anyone with the slightest interest in any aspect of space exploration be they current OU students, alumni. Find us on your favourite social media platform or the Association forums for more information. And don't forget the committee doesn't have all the best ideas, if there is something you'd like us to do (as long as it is space-related 😉 ) let us know.
