Message from VP Community

If the pandemic taught us anything, it’s that we are not oour own. We can be close together, supporting each other and reaching our potential.

Welcome to Freshers! It’s that time of the year. New year, new beginning. For our new students, “Welcome to the Open University” and congratulations on making the best decision of your life. You must be feeling excited, scared and apprehensive. You made the first step, and there is a lot of help and support out there. You are not on your own, there are oodles of things you can be involved with.

For two weeks, the Students Association is putting on a plethora of events to help you settle into your new life and help you find your feet. We have events for everyone – presentations, chats, discussions, Q&As, social events, talks. Whether you are a new student, or you’re returning to the OU, this is where your journey (re)starts. If the pandemic taught us anything, it’s that we are not on our own. We can be close together, supporting each other and reaching our potential.

Have a look at our programme and join us!
