  1. 1 Get Microsoft Office 365 for free!

    Microsoft Office 365 is free and available to all new and continuing OU students who are currently registered to study (excluding short courses and OpenLearn). Microsoft Office 365 includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, free learning tools, online storage and more.

  2. 2 Get reduced council tax

    What's the offer? 

    Are you taking part in distance learning that is the equivalent of 90 credits of study a week? If the answer is β€˜yes’ and you live in England, Scotland or Wales you may be able to apply for a reduction in your Council Tax.

  3. 3 Access to libraries

    What's the offer?

    The OU is a member of the SCONUL (Society of College, National and University Libraries) Access scheme. SCONUL Access enables eligible OU students and employees living in the UK or the Republic of Ireland to borrow books from other participating university libraries or visit them for a quiet place to study. Most of the university libraries in the UK (and some in the Republic of Ireland) are participating in the scheme.

  4. 4 Get deals on eating out, travel and more

    What's the deal? 

    As an OU student, you are eligible to purchase a TOTUM card, powered by the National Union of Students (NUS). The number one student discount card in the UK, TOTUM, will give you access to an ever-expanding range of discounts for food, essentials, tech, travel, fashion, beauty and more. 

    NB: The TOTUM card can also be used as student ID when out and about.

  5. 5 Get discounted deals with UNiDAYS

    What's the offer?

    UNiDAYS is a discount website that is available for free to students worldwide. Current students in Higher Education can sign up to get discounted deals on some of the UK’s largest retailers including Levi’s, ASOS, Apple, Hollister and more.

    How do I apply?

    Register for free on UNiDAYS. Just make sure to use your OU email address when creating an account.
