At the Wales Club, we’re building a vibrant student community by supporting students from Wales – and anyone with an interest in Welsh culture – to meet, chat, and have fun together in a welcoming social setting. We celebrate Welsh heritage while creating a safe and inclusive space where members can share experiences, advice and knowledge to enrich their OU journey.
We are also excited to introduce our new co-lead, Scarlet James, who will be working alongside your Wales Student Representative, Michael Jones, to continue building a welcoming, friendly and fun club. Scarlet brings fresh ideas and infectious enthusiasm, and she is already developing many exciting events for the upcoming academic year.
Join our club to:
- Easily tell your Wales Student Rep how you would like your university experience to be developed.
- Explore Welsh heritage and culture
- Learn about career opportunities in Wales
- Play games and take part in social activities
- Connect with fellow students and make new friends
- Stay up-to-date with all things Wales at the OU.
You can also stay up-to-date with our Welcome week events, including one to be hosted at the OU in Wales office, a virtual one and our upcoming clubs and societies fair stall, with plenty of games and all the Welsh cakes you could sink your teeth into!
