At the Open University, although we all study from a distance, we are all united by many things. By our study choices, determination, as a student body and by our faith. Here at the Christian Union we are united by our faith, and are committed to encouraging Christian students in a safe and peaceful group. Our aim is to support other Christian students, staff and alumni and to create a community of Christians studying with the Open University as well as sharing more about what we believe in with our wider community of students, staff and alumni.
But we also welcome those who perhaps have questions about the Christian faith, and who want to hear more about Christianity, the Bible or Jesus. If you have an interest in Christianity and would like to learn more, then why not try attending one of our Monday Bible studies, where we look at what the Bible teaches us and have fellowship together as a group! And we also run informal social sessions led by our volunteer group, where we take the opportunity to get to know each other.
As Christian students we are committed to telling others of the Gospel and spreading the amazing news that the Bible teaches us! In a world that is becoming increasingly dark and confusing, it is hard to have hope. But, hope and peace is what a relationship with our loving Heavenly Father enables us to have. And here at the CU we want to welcome you into this relationship, and nurture anyone who has questions.
The CU is run by an amazing group of volunteers who all give their time to make sure the CU runs in an effective and welcoming way.
