Your Priority Issues and Policy Ideas for Conference 2024

We asked students what their priority student issues were. Read on to find out more, and learn how you can contribute your policy ideas for Conference 2024.

As part of Student Voice Festival 2024, we asked students at our Milton Keynes, Manchester and Cardiff Consultations what their priority student issues are. Here's what they had to say:

The text 'Mental Health social aspect' written on a sky-blue background, with a smiley face.

Above: "Mental Health. Social Aspect. "

An omnipresent topic in and outside of University settings, it's no surprise that mental health was the first answer given.

The bulletpoints 'Equity, Representation, Communication' written on a turquoise background, with animations of scales and a shouting face. The 2024 Conference logo is in the bottom left-hand corner.

Above: "Equity. Representation. Communication."

Three very interesting topics suggested here, all of which underpin the fundamental values of the Association.

The bulletpoints 'Bring back face-to-face tutorials or live events; Break the isolation of students' written on a lemon background. The 2024 Conference logo is in the bottom left-hand corner.

Above "Bring back face-to face tutorials or live events. Break the isolation of students."

Two more specific examples of the previously mentioned 'social aspect' of student life, including face-to-face tutorials.

And now, over to you!

'Using my student voice empowers me to shape a better tomorrow' on a pink background. The 2024 Conference logo is in the top right-hand corner.

Considering your priority student issues, what policy change(s) would you like to see to bring about positive change for the OU student community, and to the OU student experience?

Head on over to our policy suggestion page to make your voice heard now, and help shape a better tomorrow for all OU students. Click here.

Submissions close Sunday 21st April 2024.
