At the end of October, libraries across the UK celebrated Green Libraries Week, a national campaign led by CILIP (the UK’s library and information association) that highlights how libraries are taking action on climate change and sustainability. From local projects to creative skills-building activities, libraries are finding new ways to make a difference.

Here at the OU Library, we’re joining in by sharing two special resource lists to help you explore sustainability and build your green skills:

Sustainability resource list

Created with the OU Sustainability team, this collection looks at the big questions around climate change – and the practical things we can do to help. It’s all about prevention, collaboration, and thinking long-term for a better future.

Green Skills resource list

Green Skills are key to creating a more sustainable world – and you might already have some without realising it! This list helps you spot, develop, and use your green skills to make a positive impact.

Both lists are updated regularly, and we'd love your input on what to add next. Start exploring using the links above, and join us in working towards a greener, more sustainable future.
