The Open University has launched a ‘Supporting neurodivergent children’ hub – full of practical tips, real stories and resources for parents, caregivers and those working with young children in education settings. It’s all designed to help every child thrive at home and in school.

At the heart of this campaign is a free toolkit, developed by Open University academics, Mel Green and Poppy Gibson. From overcoming daily challenges to supporting sensory needs, the toolkit is grounded in academic expertise and real-world experience of teaching and raising neurodivergent children.

There are also real stories from academics and OU students who are navigating their own journeys supporting neurodivergent children.

You can also take your understanding to the next level with free short courses, resources and formal qualifications across childhood, early years and education.

You can visit the hub at open.ac.uk/courses/choose/neurodivergent-children.
