Next Saturday (June 21st) is the ECYS School of The Open University Student Research Festival which, judging from past experience, is a fantastic opportunity for undergraduate and postgraduate students to showcase their work during this academic year.
On Friday evening (13th June) we had a pre-conference quiz night, just as a way of getting people together and providing more information about their event, as well as publicising the newly rebranded Open SU (of which all OU students are members).
Charon Gates acted as host, aided and abetted by Angela Thomas and myself.
Considering I was involved in the planning of the event and privy to the questions beforehand, my score was abysmal. And I thought it was supposed to be easier than University Challenge!!! But that’s the way the cookie crumbles I guess. Never was good at Trivial Pursuits

And of course the final question round had to be about Hedgehogs (featuring Charon’s famous knitted mascots!!)
