Transitioning into university at any stage in life can be demanding, whether moving into level 6 education for the first time, returning to education after a long break, or as a poly degree holder.</p>
<p>Engaging in study skills, especially those tailored to the nature of distance-learning, can demystify studying and empower you to perform at your best.</p>
<p>This Welcome Week, in collaboration with OU Pride, Rafa Canet, an Associate Lecturer from the Arts and Humanities faculty, is presenting an interactive event on <a href="https://www.oustudents.com/ents/event/2776/">Navigating the Open University: Strategies for independent study</a>.</p>
<p>While this event is organised by OU Pride, we want all students to feel welcome to join, as education should be accessible to all.</p>
