<div class="fr-view"><p>Next Saturday (June 21st) is the ECYS School of <a href="https://www.linkedin.com/company/theopenuniversity/" target="_self"><strong>The Open University</strong></a> Student Research Festival which, judging from past experience, is a fantastic opportunity for undergraduate and postgraduate students to showcase their work during this academic year.</p>
<p>On Friday evening (13<sup>th</sup> June) we had a pre-conference quiz night, just as a way of getting people together and providing more information about their event, as well as publicising the newly rebranded <a href="https://www.linkedin.com/company/oustudents/" target="_self"><strong>Open SU</strong></a> (of which all OU students are members).</p>
<p>Charon Gates acted as host, aided and abetted by Angela Thomas and myself.</p>
<p>Considering I was involved in the planning of the event and privy to the questions beforehand, my score was abysmal. And I thought it was supposed to be easier than University Challenge!!! But that’s the way the cookie crumbles I guess. Never was good at Trivial Pursuits <img class="emoji fr-fic fr-dii" alt="ð¤·♀ï¸" src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.1.0/svg/1f937-200d-2640-fe0f.svg">.</p>
<p>And of course the final question round had to be about Hedgehogs (featuring Charon’s famous knitted mascots!!)</p>
