How well do you know Black British history? Take our Black History Month quiz

Share

October is Black History Month. The UK has marked it since 1987, and this year we’re celebrating the people whose stories shaped modern Britain, including some that don’t always make the history books.

There are 24 questions across four rounds. They cover pioneers, sport and culture, key moments in history, and a quick true-or-false round to finish. Some answers you’ll know straight away. Others might surprise you.

After each answer you’ll get a short story about the person or moment behind it. No searching as you go. Give it your best shot, then share your score and challenge your friends.

Want to go further? Join us at the EDI Roadshow on Thursday 29 October, 7:00–8:30pm, with guest speaker Dr Camille London-Miyo from the Stephen Lawrence Research Centre.
