Applications are now open for new Committee members for our three Student Support Groups – Black, Asian & Minority Ethnic Students Group, Disabled Students Group and OU Pride.

We are looking for applicants to fill the following positions for each group:

  • Chair

The Chair will lead the Committee in creating a strategy for the Group, and will support the Committee to be effective in their roles in delivering this mandate.

  • Vice-Chair

The Vice-Chair works closely with the Chair of the Committee – they will agree on sharing certain tasks between themselves.

  • Communications Officer

The Communications Officer focuses on communicating with members of the Group on the activities and plans of the Committee.

  • Events Officer

The Events officer focuses on designing and delivering a programme of events that will help support the group and develop its community.

  • Secretary

The Secretary is responsible for providing administrative support to the Committee to deliver the agreed strategy of the Group.

The logos for our three Support Groups (the Disabled Students Group and the Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic Students Group logos next to each other, with the OU Pride logo underneath).

Each role will be for a two-year term, starting on Wednesday, 1 January 2025.
