We’re looking for creative students looking to expand their skills and experience to join our Hoot team as a SiSE newsletter volunteer!
In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to create and edit content for the printed Hoot newsletter sent to OU students studying from secure environments (SiSE) – like prisons or secure hospitals.
What is a Hoot SiSE volunteer?

Content editor: Edits and reviews content to ensure it is accessible and clear, attending meetings to share ideas, proofreading articles, and creating the newsletter layout using applications like Canva.

Content creator: Creates and reviews content for the newsletter, ensuring it is engaging, clear and student focused. Attends meetings, research new ideas, and promotes opportunities to engage with the SiSE community.
