Sunday 26 March is Purple Day, the International Day for Epilepsy!
There are many ways we can support Purple Day this year:
- BAKE Purple
- RUN Purple
- WEAR Purple
- MOVE Purple
- Many many more!
I was diagnosed with epilepsy when I was 18 years old, and the Epilepsy Society (and the staff and volunteers) have helped me greatly since then, regarding information and support. The Epilepsy Society helps millions of people – young and old – to understand, support and help them with life with epilepsy!
By supporting the Epilepsy Society, we are enabling more people to gain access to their services and to gain better insight into their disability. This support will fund more staff, more treatments and reach a wider variety of people.
This year, myself and my partner have decided to join the March Marathon fundraiser to help raise funds for the Epilepsy Society. In 26 days we will complete 26.4 miles through walking, running and cycling around our town.
We would encourage people to take part in Purple Day on 26 March. Check out my Facebook profile and the Epilepsy Society Facebook page for more information.
