The Hoot is about to undergo a bit of a change.
On Thursday, 11 June, we will officially unveil a new logo and a redesigned website.
For seven years, this has been a space for you – OU students – to create content and express yourselves. The Hoot is yours, and we want it to grow with you, so we’ve spoken to students about how it can better reflect how you want to use it today. From helping to choose a new logo to providing input on how to make this site easier to navigate, students have played a key role during the planning process.
What's changing
We're making The Hoot a clearer, more user-friendly space. There will be a refreshed look, and articles will be divided into categories, making it easier for you to find content you’re interested in.
Plus, there will be more flexibility for you. You’ll be able to submit content via the site (as you’ve done previously) and also by email.
We're also due to launch a monthly Hoot Newsletter, featuring a snapshot of the latest articles on the site, so watch this space from Thursday (11 June).
What's not changing
The Hoot will still be the place for you to create articles and share stories – a space to express your unique voice and experience.
With this brand refresh, we want to further help you feel part of the wonderful OU student community.
The Hoot is here to uplift your voice, and we can't wait to see what you write next!
