RESILIENTE
Fighting like a warrior
to win like the elite,
from the bottom to the top
someday I will defeat.
–
Burning in flames
doing the right thing,
suffocating from the chains
my chest can’t see anything.
–
The pressure is now a friend,
tachycardia a mate,
dizziness a neighbour,
and I can’t even concentrate.
–
I just want it to stop
while tears drop.
I am scared
whilst feeling unprepared.
–
I am not sure what life is,
what we do,
what we feel,
what we are.
I know I want to be happy
just the same as you are.
–
Everyone does,
but we don’t know how
so we try to find our way
even by losing our minds.
–
Deep thoughts
in the middle of the night
sometimes it’s scary but
don’t let them fight.
Thank you for sharing your poem, Minerva! It’s so easy to get caught up and be overwhelmed by our work, the unknown, and life in general. I hope that other students that feel this way are able to find solace in finding your writing <3
Thank you so much for your words Stephanie!! I hope that too <3
